By accessing or using FixTally (“we”, “us”, or “the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What FixTally Does

FixTally provides free interactive cost-estimation tools, calculators, and cost guides for home improvement and repair projects. We are not a contractor — we do not perform, supervise, guarantee, or warranty any work. If you choose to request a quote, we may connect you with independent contractors, but we are not a party to any agreement between you and a contractor.

3. Homeowners

When you submit a request for a quote, you consent to sharing your contact information with matched contractors so they may reach out to you. You are under no obligation to hire any contractor through the Service. You agree to provide accurate information and not to misuse the lead system.

4. Contractors

Contractors who accept a lead agree to the displayed price for that lead. Leads represent contact information for potential customers; FixTally does not guarantee that any lead will result in a hired job. Contractors are solely responsible for the quality, legality, and licensing of their work, and for complying with all applicable laws and regulations.

5. Estimates, Calculators & Content

Cost calculators, estimates, guides, checklists, and hiring tips on FixTally are for general informational and planning purposes only. Calculator results are estimates based on the inputs you provide and typical national and regional costs — they are not formal appraisals, engineering opinions, legal advice, binding quotes, or guarantees of what any contractor will charge. Always confirm scope, materials, permits, and price in a written agreement with a qualified professional.

6. No Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Calculator results and estimates are informational only and do not constitute quotes or guarantees of final pricing.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FixTally shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including any work performed by a contractor you connected with through the Service.

8. Accounts

You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by submitting false project or identity information, scraping content at a scale that degrades the Service, attempting to circumvent security or rate limits, or harassing other users.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material updates will be reflected by the “Last updated” date on this page.
